ASTM A106 ist eine weit verbreitete Spezifikation für nahtlose Kohlenstoffstahlrohre. Es deckt verschiedene Klassen und Spezifikationen für den Hochtemperaturservice ab, einschließlich A106 Grad A, Grad B und Grad C. Diese Rohre werden üblicherweise in Branchen wie Öl und Gas, Stromerzeugung und Raffinerien zur Vermittlung von Flüssigkeiten und Gasen bei erhöhten Temperaturen verwendet und Druck.
Diese Spezifikation deckt ein nahtloses Kohlenstoffstahlrohr für den Hochtemperaturservice (Anmerkung 1) in NPS 1/8 bis NPS 48 ab, inklusiv, wobei die in ANSI B 36.10 angegebene nominelle (durchschnittliche) Wandstärke angegeben ist. Es ist zulässig, ein Rohr mit anderen Abmessungen zu liefern, vorausgesetzt, ein solches Rohr entspricht allen anderen Anforderungen dieser Spezifikation. Die gemäß dieser Spezifikation angeordnete Rohre müssen zum Biegen, Flanschen und ähnlichen Umformbetrieb und zum Schweißen geeignet sein.
